Wichita, Kansas – October 3rd, 2013 – The Wichita B-52’s have chosen Admiral® to be the club’s Official Team Uniform Supplier for the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL) 2013/14 season. With over 40 teams combined making up its first and second division, the PASL is the nation's top arena soccer league and the largest international indoor/arena soccer league in the world.
Wichita was formerly an Admiral team in the original Major Indoor Soccer League. Joseph Pindell, CEO and Owner of the B-52s, said, “Admiral is part of the history of indoor soccer in Wichita and is the world’s oldest soccer brand. We’re proud to re-unite with them given they supplied most of the teams in the original Major Indoor Soccer League. They have real credibility in indoor soccer. Admiral are custom making our new kit now and we will launch it to fans in a few weeks time.”
|Admiral, founded in 1914, is the world’s oldest British soccer brand and has previously supplied uniforms for the England national soccer team, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. The brand also has a long running history in the United States having supplied uniforms for the NASL and MISL. Today the brand is again worn by the 2012 NASL Champions Tampa Bay Rowdies as well as the 2011 NASL Champions, Minnesota United.|
“Admiral is supplying most PASL teams with custom team uniforms and fan wear,” said the President of Admiral Sports, Paul Hamburger, “We’re making the team look good so we can help them play better”. Asked whether the new kit will look like the original 70’s version Hamburger replied “We’ve had a lot of demand for “retro” style product and we will introduce leisure-wear that the fans will love. As for the style of the jersey it’s going to be good, but you’ll have to wait and see”.
