The Rochester Lancers Home Jersey pays homage to Lancers' owner Soccer Sam. Born and raised in Rochester, NY, Soccer Sam's love for soccer was ignited in 1970 when he first attended a Lancers game as a child. Since then, Sam has remained a dedicated fan of both indoor and outdoor American soccer, even as he pursued a successful career as a restaurateur and media personality. In 2011, Soccer Sam added another chapter to the Lancers' story by purchasing the team's name and logo and relaunching the club.
Inspired by Soccer Sam's love for pink kits and his penchant for bold fashion choices, the home jersey retains pink as its primary color—a nod to both Sam's personal brand and the current Lancers uniforms.
