Second straight season Energy FC earns spot in postseason
Energy FC secured a spot in the USL playoffs without even taking the field. The team’s playoff berth was secured by way of the Orange County Blues loss to Rio Grande Valle Toros FC earlier Saturday evening.
This marks the second straight season head coach Jimmy Nielsen has guided his team to the postseason.
With three matches left to play in the season, Energy FC can still earn home field advantage with wins in those three contests. The push for home field advantage begins at home Sunday at 6 p.m. at Taft Stadium against the Swope Park Rangers.
The remaining schedule has Energy FC playing on the road against the Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 on Wednesday and the regular season home finale next Saturday at Taft Stadium against Saint Louis FC.
Tickets for the home matches start as low as $10 and are on sale now at energyfc.com or by calling 235-KICK.
