Miami, Florida – Florida Beach Soccer FC will play in next week’s Major Beach Soccer Championship in Florida in a new Admiral kit.  The club have partnered with Admiral as part of a long standing commercial partnership. Admiral will become the title sponsor and the official supplier of all playing and training kit.  This deal follows on the back of a number of; NASL, USL and NPSL clubs selecting  for Admiral as their kit supplier and is the companies first Professional Beach football team.

Admiral, the Original British Football brand to American and England’s top teams, in the 1970’s and 1980’s for the England football team and Manchester United, in the United States they supplied, Tampa Bay Rowdies, New York Cosmos and Vancouver Whitecaps. Today the brand is also worn by the 2011 North American Soccer League (NASL) Champions Minnesota Stars, Puerto Rico Islanders also in the NASL. USL PDL Champions Kitsap Pumas are one of many PDL clubs that have switched to Admiral this season.

Beach Soccer is an official FIFA soccer category with a FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup played every 2 years. Played on the sand, between five-player teams for thirty six minutes a game, the irregularity of the soft-sand playing surface leads to a totally different style of play than is used in regular soccer. The compact pitch, allows players to score from anywhere on the sand, leading to an average of sixty attempts at goal in a single game and scoring rate of one goal every three or four minutes.

Florida Beach Soccer FC, captured the U.S. Open Championship at Virginia Beach in June and More recently won the BAGO Sports Invitational in Trinidad & Tobago making them Caribbean Champions.  They will try to snatch the USL National Beach Soccer Championship with  current U.S. National Team captain Francis Farberoff and U.S. Open MVP Oscar Gill also on the US national team together with Ben Astorga who is a former National US Beach Soccer player.
