How Skillz Soccer Bahamas and Admiral brought the soul of the islands to the pitch

Nassau, The Bahamas · 2026

There are very few places on earth where a soccer kit needs to compete visually with its surroundings. The Bahamas is one of them.

Bahamian flamingos standing in shallow water

Here, the sea is a color that has no real name, somewhere between turquoise and jade and the particular shade of aqua that appears on no paint chart because it only exists when sunlight hits shallow water over white sand. The flamingos that wade through the salt pans of Inagua are a pink so vivid they look almost artificial.

The marlin that cut through the deep water offshore are a blue-black speed that nothing in sport can quite replicate. And the flag, aquamarine, gold, and black, with its bold black triangle pointing forward, manages to be both understated and unmistakable.

Into this landscape steps Skillz Soccer Bahamas: a soccer development organization building the game from the ground up across the islands, nurturing young talent, and proving that the Bahamas, a nation more associated internationally with sun, sea, and tourism, has the passion, the players, and the ambition to be taken seriously on the pitch. Their partnership with Admiral has produced two kit ranges that understand exactly where they come from. The 2026 collection, designed in direct collaboration with Nathan Fields, Skillz Soccer Bahamas’s Marketing Director, takes that understanding further than ever.

The Foundation: YESi and the 52nd Anniversary Kits

Admiral designed a pair of commemorative kits for YESi (Youth Empowerment through Soccer International) to mark the Bahamas’ 52nd anniversary of independence. They were created for a charity tournament held in May, 2025, and they set a creative benchmark that the 2026 season kits have been built to honor and surpass.

The YESi anniversary jerseys drew their inspiration from the full visual vocabulary of the Bahamas: the flamingo’s feather pattern woven into the fabric body; the scales of the blue marlin textured across the shoulders; the Bahamian flag rendered on the left sleeve; the national island chain mapped into the custom “52” anniversary emblem on the sleeve.

The home kit in aqua blue and gold, the away in tropical pink, both carrying the YESi “Y” through their central design. And across the back of the home, bold as the Bahamian spirit itself, the phrase: Talkin’ Bahamian.

“Soccer is not just a game here. It’s a movement, a memory, and a message.”

Those kits proved something important: that Bahamian soccer could have an identity as distinctive and beautiful as anything in the game. The 2026 Skillz Soccer collection carries that proof forward and builds on it with the ambition and creative detail it deserves.

The 2026 Brief: the Vision for the Islands

For the 2026 season, Skillz Soccer Bahamas came to Admiral with a brief shaped by the club’s Marketing Director, a brief that was visually specific, culturally intentional, and entirely rooted in Bahamian identity.

Home · 01

The home kit brief was precise: aqua and black panels with a white stripe down the sides, the Bahamian flag rendered as collar and cuff detail, a palm tree texture across the body, and the Bahamian coat of arms featured prominently on the back. A jersey that would look right against the backdrop of Nassau’s streets, the turquoise of the harbor, or the green of a well-kept pitch in the island sun.

Away · 02

The away brief gave Admiral more creative latitude, and the result was bolder for it. A deep flamingo pink and black palette, inspired by the islands’ most iconic bird. A bold graphic pattern echoing the organic, flowing forms of the Bahamian natural world, with the flamingo itself rendered in dramatic relief. Not a safe kit. Not a template. A statement.

“We wanted kits that could only come from the Bahamas. Not kits that nod at where we’re from, but kits that shout it. Admiral understood that from the first conversation.”

Nathan Fields, Marketing Director, Skillz Soccer Bahamas

Admiral’s design team took both briefs seriously, the precise and the expressive, and produced a collection that delivers on every level.

Home Kit, “Aqua”

Color: Aqua with Black panels and gold trim

The 2026 home kit is, from the first glance, unmistakably Bahamian. The dominant aqua, a vivid, saturated turquoise that mirrors the exact tone of the shallow waters that surround the island chain, covers the body of the jersey in a bold, confident statement of place. This is not a generic teal or a safe sky blue. It is the specific aqua of the Bahamas, the color coded into the national flag, the color of the sea that defines an entire way of life.

Two black panels flank the body, separated from the aqua by clean white side stripes, a structural device that gives the jersey a sharp, athletic silhouette while referencing the flag’s bold black triangle. The raglan sleeves in black carry a subtle wave pattern, a nod to the ocean that surrounds these islands on every side.

At the collar and cuffs, the Bahamian flag is rendered in its full three-color sequence: aqua, gold, and black. It is a detail that rewards close attention, small in scale, enormous in meaning. Every player who wears this jersey carries the national flag on their wrists. That is not an accident.

Across the body, a tonal palm tree texture flows beneath the aqua surface, visible in certain lights, subtle enough never to overwhelm, rich enough to reward those who look carefully. The Bahamian islands are covered in palms. This jersey wears them quietly and proudly.

On the back, the Bahamian coat of arms is featured prominently, the marlin, the flamingo, the conch shell, the vessel and the sun, all framed by the national motto. It is the full heraldic identity of a nation, worn between the shoulder blades of a soccerer. Above it, names and numbers in clean white. Below it, the promise of an island game going somewhere.

The Skillz Soccer badge sits on the left chest: a crowned “S” that speaks of ambition and identity in a single mark.

Away Kit, “Flamingo”

Color: Deep Flamingo Pink with Black

If the home kit is the Bahamas at noon, vivid, clear, sun-drenched, the away kit is the Bahamas at magic hour: dramatic, electric, unforgettable.

The “Flamingo” away jersey takes its color from the national bird, not the pastel pink of a tourist postcard, but the deep, saturated, almost crimson-tinged pink of a real Caribbean flamingo in full plumage. Set against black, it creates a contrast that demands attention. On a soccer pitch, surrounded by grass and white lines and the ordinary colors of sport, it will be impossible to look away from.

The design incorporates a bold graphic pattern inspired by the flowing, organic forms of the Bahamian natural world, curved, rhythmic shapes that echo the movement of water, the arc of a flamingo’s neck, the flowing lines of the conch shell’s interior. Diagonal graphic elements cut through the composition with the energy of a player in motion, adding structure and dynamism to the organic base pattern.

The flamingo itself, rendered in dramatic relief against the deep pink and black, appears as the jersey’s centerpiece: elegant, proud, and entirely at home. It is both the national bird and the away kit’s visual anchor, a symbol that every Bahamian recognizes and every opponent will remember.

The club worked directly with Admiral’s design team on this jersey, giving the creative process the collaborative intensity it deserved. The color codes sit outside standard PMS matches, this pink exists in the natural world but is harder to pin down in print, which somehow feels right. The Bahamas’ most iconic bird does not belong in a color chart. It belongs on a soccer shirt.

Sport as Cultural Expression

What makes the Skillz Soccer Bahamas collection remarkable is not any single design element, not the coat of arms on the back, not the flag at the cuffs, not the flamingo rendered in deep pink against black. It is the consistency of intention running through every decision. These kits were not assembled from available options. They were constructed from the inside out, starting with a place and a people and asking: what does this look like when it is worn?

The answer is a kit range that functions simultaneously as soccer apparel and as cultural artefact. The home jersey tells the story of the Bahamas’ natural landscape: the aqua water, the palm trees, the marlin, the coat of arms that encodes an entire national identity in a single emblem. The away jersey tells a different story: bolder, more expressive, more willing to use color and graphic drama to say something about the spirit of island soccer.

“These uniforms are a vibrant canvas for cultural expression, reminding players and spectators alike that soccer is not just a game, it’s a movement, a memory, and a message.”

For the young players who will wear these jerseys, the Skillz Soccer athletes developing their game on fields across Nassau and beyond, there is something deeper here than a uniform. There is the message that where they are from matters. That the Bahamas belongs in the conversation. That island soccer has arrived, and it looks like this.

The Admiral Partnership

Skillz Soccer Bahamas’s relationship with Admiral has grown into a full creative partnership, one built on genuine collaboration between the club’s vision and Admiral’s design and manufacturing capability. Factory-direct production means the quality of finish that appears in the kit previews, the sublimation detail, the color accuracy, the structural panel work, is the quality that arrives on the doorstep, without the markups and lead-time uncertainties of large-brand supply chains.

For a soccer organization building something meaningful in a market that the big brands have largely overlooked, that matters. Admiral’s willingness to take cultural briefs seriously, to render a coat of arms on the back of a jersey, to get the specific pink of a Caribbean flamingo right, to carry the Bahamian flag in three accurate colors around a collar, is what separates a genuine design partnership from a transaction.

“Admiral didn’t just make us kits. They made us a visual identity. Every detail we asked for, they delivered. And the details that needed creative input, they brought real ideas to the table.”

Nathan Fields, Marketing Director, Skillz Soccer Bahamas

The Bahamas Has Arrived

The Bahamas is a nation of 700 islands, 2,400 cays, and enough natural beauty to humble any designer who tries to capture it in fabric. Skillz Soccer Bahamas and Admiral have made a serious attempt and produced something that the islands can be genuinely proud of.

“The sea here is a color that has no real name. These kits come close.”
