Las Vegas, Nevada, Nov. 30, 2013 – Las Vegas Mobsters, have selected Admiral® to be the club’s official sportswear and technical kit supplier for 2014. The Mobsters are a new franchise playing in the South West Division of the United Soccer League’s PDL. The PDL is the top level of men’s amateur soccer in the US with over 70 teams, in nine regional divisions, and is the 4th tier of US soccer.
“Admiral is one of the biggest suppliers to PDL teams and came highly recommended,” said Geoffrey Hawkins, General Manager for the club, “Admiral has real credibility in the soccer community and they are going to custom design our jerseys. We are delighted to be working with them.” The team will unveil their new custom Admiral kits prior to the 2014 season, which kicks off in May.
Admiral, founded in 1914, is the world’s oldest British soccer brand and has previously supplied uniforms for the England national soccer team, West Ham United, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and many other English Premier clubs. The brand also has a long history in the United States, having supplied uniforms for the Tampa Bay Rowdies, New York Cosmos and Vancouver Whitecaps of the original North American Soccer League and many indoor teams in the Major Indoor Soccer League during the 1970s and ‘80s. Today, Admiral is the brand worn by 2012 NASL champions Tampa Bay Rowdies, as well as the 2013 USL PDL League Champions Austin Aztex. Admiral is one of the largest brands in the NASL, USL, and Women’s Professional Soccer League, and with youth teams and associations throughout the US.
