TAMPA, FLORIDA. (April 11th, 2012) Admiral, the Original British Football brand to American and England’s top teams today announced a 3^rd PDL team had joined it’s ranks this week alone.  The deal with VSI Tampa Flames comes hot on the heels of similar deals with S. West Virginia Kings Warriors and Ocala Stampede also of the PDL.  The VSI Tampa Flames will play the 2012 season in the USL PDL league.  As part of the new project, VSI also will operate teams in the PDL, W-League and Super-20 League starting in 2012, with a USL PRO franchise scheduled to begin play in Tampa in 2013.

Admiral is the same brand that provided team wear in the 1970’s and 1980’s for the England football teams, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham, Southampton and Leeds in the English Premier League. Admiral was also the market leader in the United States on the shirts of the Los Angeles Aztecs, Tampa Bay Rowdies and Vancouver Whitecaps.  Players who have worn Admiral include soccer legends Pele and Beckenbauer while they played for the New York Cosmos.  Today the brand is also worn by the 2011 North American Soccer League (NASL) Champions Minnesota Stars, Kitsap Pumas this years USL PDL Champions together with many other clubs.
