Since their founding in 2019 by Emmanuel Viel, his father Carlos Viel, and his wife Natalie Viel, the Omaha Kings FC have become synonymous with perseverance and excellence. With Emmanuel Viel leading as both owner and head coach, the team has rapidly ascended the ranks of indoor soccer, earning respect and accolades in the process.
Achievements on the Field
The Kings’ journey is marked by notable milestones. They secured their first National Championship Title in the M3 League during the 2020-21 season and followed it up with a Midwest Conference Title in MASL2 for the 2021-2022 season. In the 2022-2023 season, they claimed the MLIS Central Division Title, with Emmanuel Viel earning the MLIS Coach of the Year award and Manuel Lira being named MLIS League MVP. Despite a narrow defeat to Rapid City FC in the league final, their performances spoke volumes.
In the 2023-2024 season, the Kings were national finalists in the MLIS League Finals, held at Baxter Arena. Though they fell short to the Cleveland Crunch in the championship game, their journey to the finals underscored their tenacity and skill.
