MINNESOTA STARS TAKE 2-0 LEAD IN NASL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES

BLAINE, Minn. (Oct. 20, 2012) — With one game to play in the 2012 North American Soccer League season (NASL), Minnesota Stars FC is sitting in a familiar seat: leading a two-game series by two goals with a trip to Florida around the corner. The Stars topped the Tampa Bay Rowdies 2-0 in front of 4,642 fans on a chilly Minnesota night at NSC Stadium.

Minnesota Stars Defeat Puerto Rico Islanders to Move on to NASL Semifinals

The 6th seeded Minnesota Stars upset the 3rd seeded Islanders 2-1 on Sunday night in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, to move on to the semifinals of the NASL playoffs against the San Antonio Scorpions. They Stars earned the victory with a number of firsts.

Islanders Win CONCACAF Champions League finale 3-0

September 27, 2012 (Bayamon, PR) - The Puerto Rico Islanders took three points tonight in their final game of their CONCACAF Champions League campaign when they beat Isidro Metapán 3-0 at Juan Ramón Loubriel Stadium. Now the Islanders focus on their NASL playoff match next Sunday, September 30th when they face the Minnesota Stars for a pass to the semifinals.
